Barns Green Half Marathon club and individual successes

Sunday saw 20 runners from Lewes AC take on the 32nd running of the Barns Green Half Marathon, one of the high points of the distance running calendar in Sussex. In just four days there were four challenging events that tested the mettle of over 70 Lewes AC runners. At the all England Athletics under15 and under17 Championships held at Bedford over the weekend there were some great performances by Lewes AC young athletes. Leading the way on Sunday was Livvy Connor who won the gold medal in the under 17 women’s pole vault competition with a vault of 3.60m. Action packed August Bank Holiday weekend for Lewes AC runners

The bank holiday weekend gave Lewes runners the chance to shine in four challenging running event. Locally there was the Newick 10K, the Hove Hornets 9.5K ‘Stinger’ and the 5K Kings Head Canter at East Hoathly.
