As a volunteer organisation Lewes AC can only succeed if members and parents step up and volunteer to take on specific roles. The key areas where help and involvement are most required are highlighted below.
The club will pay for an individual to gain the qualifications necessary to become a coach, official or a leader and will help with other expenses as appropriate.
This is one of the most important roles within the club with coaches being required to cover the complete range of athletic activities undertaken by the club. Coaches are required to coach all the track and field events and all endurance events whether taking place on the track, cross country or road running.
There is already a nucleus of qualified coaches but with an ever changing and dynamic club more coaches are always required. If you are interested in becoming a coach or just want to find out more please contact us through any of the contact e-mail addresses shown across this web site
Equally important to the success of the club and to ensure that the club competes successfully in all its events and leagues qualified officials are required.
Within the club there is already a nucleus of qualified and partially qualified officials. If you are interested increasing the pool of club official or just want to find out more please contact us via any of the contact e-mail addresses shown on this web site.
To lead running groups beyond the track and out and about qualified and insured ‘Run Leaders’ are required. The club will pay for individuals to become qualified as a Leader in Running Fitness (LiRF)
