On a bright and sunny Sunday 5th October 60 Lewes AC runners took part with 300 runners in the club’s own tough and challenging 10 mile and 5 mile races over the Sussex Downs. Sunday saw 20 runners from Lewes AC take on the 32nd running of the Barns Green Half Marathon, one of the high points of the distance running calendar in Sussex. This year temperatures were as high as 20 degrees and the sun beat down on the runners, thankfully shaded by woodland for large sections of the undulating figure-of-eight course.
