After 3 matches from the four that make up the Sussex Cross Country League the Lewes AC women’s team is leading the club’s chase for County medals. Lewes AC Ready for Take Off with Newly Re-surfaced Track
Members and guests of Lewes Athletics Club marked the official re-opening of the Lewes Community Track on Tuesday evening 24th November with a mass celebratory run round the recently resurfaced track. Excellent results for Lewes AC runners in a windy Brighton 10K
Last Sunday 36 Lewes AC members together with 2,700 runners in the Brighton 10K did battle with the weather along Brighton Sea front. 17 Lewes AC runners decided that they would spend their Saturday taking on one of the toughest marathons in the South East. Not content with running in excess of 26 miles there are 300 steps and 14 gates to tackle along the route. After starting in Eastbourne the marathon route goes through Jevington, Alfriston and Friston Forest before finishing across Seven Sisters and Beachy Head….
