Lewes AC members in medal winning form in three events
Lewes Athletic Club runners have made a medal winning start to this year’s cross country season. Encouraged by winning Championship individual and team medals at the Barns Green Half Marathon club members have continued with medal winning form in subsequent events. With over 37,000 finishers in the Berlin Marathon on Sunday 25th September two Lewes AC athletes had fantastic runs to finish at the sharp end of the race. Mike Ellicock finished in a brilliant time of 2hours 31mins 41secs which placed him 104th overall and 11th in the men aged over 40 category. Larissa Carter smashes club Hammer record
Larissa Carter competing at the Portsmouth open on Saturday 10th September topped the 50m mark for the first time. The throw of 51.23m added a massive 2.33m to her exsisting U17W club record.

UK school games
Lewes Pole vaulter Jack Harris has been selected to represent the South West schools area in the UK school games. The games are being held at Loughborough University in the first week of September.
