In the Trundle Hill Downland Race at Lancing on Wednesday 16th May there were eight Lewes members competing in a race with 326 competitors. At the Sussex Track and Field Championships held at the K2 Stadium at Crawley over the weekend of 12/13th May Lewes AC athletes came away with 32 individual and team Championship medals. Just a word from across the Atlantic Rob Mullett came second in a 1500m race in Indianopolis on the 4th May in a cracking time of 3mins 45.08secs. Rob also currently tops the 2012 UK rankings for the 3000m Steeple Chase with a time of 8mins 32.80secs.

The club was in action over the May Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday competing in the Young Athlete’s League at Maidstone in Kent. It was a disappointing result for the club as it was not possible to field a full team of athletes. As a result Lewes AC had to settle for 5th position of the six teams competing.
