Securing the best ever results for the County of Sussex at the Inter Counties Cross Country Championships at Cofton Park in Birmingham on Saturday 10th March two Lewes AC runners were in medal winning teams. On Saturday Lewes AC runners took part in the Sussex Primary Schools Cross Country Championships on Bexhill Downs and produced two excellent performances. Ben Walters came 5th in the boys’ race and Danielle Jacobs 18th in the girls race.

A much higher turnout of the Red and Yellow Lewes vests than in previous years. 15 athletes returned to Sussex from Sutton with 14 medals and no fewer than 10 club Indoor records. On a sunny Saturday 25th February Lewes AC had nine athletes competing in the various age groups in ‘The National’ at Parliament Fields in London. Mixed fortunes for our five club members that travelled to Birmingham to compete in the UK Indoor U20/U17/U15 Championships.
