Lewes AC pole vaulters took part the Jim Day Memorial Pole Vault Competition at the Sutton Arena on the 23rd September where 100 vaulters from a wide range of clubs across the South East were competing for honours. In busy weekend for Lewes AC road runners 14 club members took part in the Seven Stiles race at Henfield on Saturday 15th Sept. Twenty members of Lewes AC took part in the Hove Prom 10K road race on Sunday. Despite a noticeable south-westerly breeze, several athletes recorded personal best (PB) performances on the pan-flat, two-lap promenade course. In a race won by Neil Boniface (Horsham Joggers) in 32mins 02secs, the Lewes club’s top finisher was David Bradford, who placed third in 33:15, equalling his PB for the distance….
