On a bright and sunny Sunday 5th October 60 Lewes AC runners took part with 300 runners in the club’s own tough and challenging 10 mile and 5 mile races over the Sussex Downs. Sunday saw 20 runners from Lewes AC take on the 32nd running of the Barns Green Half Marathon, one of the high points of the distance running calendar in Sussex. Ollie Hopkins who has only recently taken up race walking under the guidance of Peter Selby his coach has been selected to represent Sussex Schools to compete in the all England Schools Championships at Boston (Lincs) on the 20th September.
