Lewes Athletic Club Welcomes Hundreds for its 2026 Easter Fun Run
Lewes Athletic Club welcomed runners of all ages on Easter Monday for its annual West Sussex Fun Run League (WSFRL) fixture, held at the club’s all-weather track behind the Wave Leisure Centre in Lewes.
A total of 493 adult runners representing 26 clubs from across Sussex took part, including 17 WSFRL clubs. They were joined by 47 junior runners and a lively group of toddlers in the ever-popular Toddler Trot. Lewes Athletic Club was represented by 52 adult members.
The 2026 Easter Fun Run featured three races: a 10K for over-16s, a one-mile junior run, and the crowd favourite Toddler Trot.
Runners enjoyed ideal conditions, with sunshine and dry ground. The 10K started and finished on the track, following a scenic, largely traffic-free multi-terrain route south of Lewes and around Iford village, supported by marshals throughout.
