Lewes AC Runners dominate the Heathfield 10K
Fresh from winning the South Down Way 100mile relay four of the Lewes team went on to dominate the Heathfield race and win the team prize by a significant margin. The Bradford brothers were first and second in the race with Matt edging out his brother to win in a time of 35mins 08secs. David was just 18 seconds behind with a time of 35mins 26secs.
In 4th position was Chris Gilbert with a time of 36mins 46secs with Lewis Sida in 5th position with 37mins 04 seconds. These individual places gave an amazing team score of 12 points which was significantly ahead of the second placed team of Haywards Heath Harriers with 50 points and Arena 80 in third place with 71 points.
Backing up the team winners were Andrew Masters in 14th position overall in a time of 38mins 53secs which also gave him 4th position in the men over 40 category. Jonathon Burrell in 23rd place overall was the first over 50 man to finish in the race. Shane Duncan was 45th overall in 43mins 15secs with Mauro Lazziti finishing just six seconds behind in 43mins 21secs. Ian fines was 59th in a time of 44mins 34secs with Katherine Emery 87th overall and 8th women to finish in 47mins 22secs which also placed Katherine second in the senior women category.
